He has been involved in the field of atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation since its early beginning two decades ago and has adopted various innovative techniques currently available (vein of Marshall alcohol ablation, minimal or zero fluoroscopy, noncontact mapping, hybrid therapies partnering with cardiac surgeons). He has performed more than 5000 AF ablation procedures.

He has an active interest in left atrial appendage closure devices for stroke prevention (WATCHMAN/AMULET/LARIAT) and has been performing them since the FDA approval in 2015.
