Kim received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky. She received her Masters of Science Degree from the College of Nursing from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.

She has practiced exclusively in cardiology throughout her nursing career. Initially as an RN in a cardiac step down unit, then critical care nursing including the cardiovascular intensive care unit and open heart intensive care unit. Her Nurse Practitioner practice areas include general and interventional cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology. She also has extensive experience in cardiac device management including pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization therapy.

Kim was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. She relocated to Florida after college graduation and obtained her nursing license. She is married and has two sons. Kim enjoys competing and watching a variety of sports, including running and has completed 5 full marathons. She and her husband love traveling, cooking and exercise.
